Winding Down…

Anne Lane
Audit Senior

As the audit department’s “busy season” has finally come to an end, I look at it as a great opportunity to reflect on the things I learned and experienced during my 4th busy season at PKM and my first as an audit senior. Although some of my recollections inevitably involve being a bit busier than I am during other times of the year, the majority of my memories include spending time with co-workers, establishing deeper relationships with clients, and navigating through responsibilities that were new to me as a first-time senior. Looking back on the past few months, I realize there are areas on which I can improve for future audits, but I also recognize the wealth of knowledge I have gained in this short time span. Due to the nature of our business, we are lucky enough to never stop learning, and there is always a new challenge to tackle. By taking time to reflect on your past experiences, you will have a better appreciation for what you accomplished, and you can also gain insight that will help guide you through any new undertaking that awaits you in the future.
